My night of pagan fun!

angelkitty101Yes ppl, it's 2 (count em) 2 updates, and neither of them a meme! Just let you recover from that little shock!
As most of you are aware, I went to the Brum Central moot last night. I was more than a little apprehensive, mainly cos 90% of the pagans I've spoken to on the net (not including those lovely ppl on my lj) are very staid, vey worthy, and take the whole thing terribly seriously. I don't, I have fun with my religion, too many things have happened in the past (eg: the first PagSoc Open Ritual, where not only did someone set their hair on fire, but the High Priestess set her dress alight, and the circle caster forgot his words, ) that show that 'Her Upstairs' has an evil sense of humour!
I've not been to a moot since the evil ex, and that was when they were held at the Mercat, plus I'm very shy. So I took tru_loo along for support, and to make sure I couldn't back out.
On the way into town, there was high drama on the bus, as it was stopped by the police cos of 2 lads upstairs!
But I met up with Loo no bother, and we bounced along to the moot. And we had a great time. I'd forgotten how welcoming Brum pagans are, I met loads of new ppl, listened to a talk on Reiki, and had a huge giggle with the lovely Gaz and Kate. Am definately going to the next one.
It feels even better cos it gives me something to do of an evening. Plus I think that She's been nudging me towards this for ages.
Plus I met up with the lovely Ellie, whom I hadn't seen since yarian_moriarty and tomyris's wedding. We've made tentative plans to meet and catch up, mainly cos tons have happened in her life, and I want to fill her in with my news. But it was nice to see her, especially as it put a few misconceptions to rest!
