Well the staff meal was fun. Food was good, and the steak was truely yummy. I don't think it was worth the money tho, but then, I wan't paying.

Saw Vix, Auds and Candi going into Bridget Jones, but cos I was trying to be a lady (yes I can try), I didn't bang on the window, or yell 'Oi Gofficks' at them!

Went to Reflex in Hurst Street afterwards, tried to text the girls, but my phone battery died. Had a really good time dancing to cheese-tastic 80's, indovan, you would be proud. If you ever make it back to Brum, we must go!

Am thinking of popping over the pond to see indovan, apparently one doesn't need a passport, and flights should be getting even cheaper soon! Must investigate!

German Market opens tomorrow, so there will be new opportunities to buy chocolate covered fruit and Xmas trimmings, oh yeah and marzipan for the Jodaboi! Can't wait!

Been there before you. ChimeraX and I hit Reflex last time we were out in Brum.

Who is ChimeraX? And do you wanna go again?

ChimeraX is a very nice lad I used to work with at the Brewery. And someone I've co-opted into the evils of LiveJournal (remember how persuasive I can be about that?!).

And yes, another 80s-tastic night in Reflex would be good. We could steal another load of shot-glasses...

And dance to cheese (so it's not Shrek then?)

No, an entirely different person to Shrek. Do you remember the lad with the young daughter who came round to the house one afternoon?

Do you mean Ireland by over the pond? Thought at first you meant to USA and you deffo need passport for there, a machine readable one, which most of us should have if they were done in last 5 years, it has a line of gobbledegook at the bottom of the page with your pic, the photo will have a hologram bit on it too.
Ireland you dont need a passport but I would check with travel agent, they usually like you to have some kind of id, a photo drivers licence should be fine. Saying that, when I first went there in 93 I didnt have a passport at all, only an old style provisional drivers licence.

I live in Belfast, so it's still part of the UK which kinda circumvents any passport shenanigins. You do need photo ID to get on the plane, though. And a sub-Nathan level of sobriety (otherwise you get to appear drunk on national television being barred from the flight), but angelkitty should be able to manage that.

I'm always sober, photo id might be a problem tho!

Don't you get one with a provisional driving licence?

I have a very old provisional license! No photo on that!

But if you send it off as a change of address, won't they send you a photo version for free? That's the way it works with the full licences.

I never realised Reflex was a national thing... ho hum.

Go buy strawberry kebabs from the market... I was ever so slightly obsessed with them last year :)

Is that the place they do kangaroo steaks?

Date: 2004-11-17 01:55 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] angelkitty101.livejournal.com
No, no kangeroo :-( But very big steaks, cooked the way you want!

Date: 2004-11-17 01:57 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] human-racer.livejournal.com
So that would be "not cooked" the way I want, in my case?
