Happy New Year all!
Jan. 1st, 2007 04:03 pmWell, now that it is finally 2007, I can properly review 2006!
For Me:- 2006 wasn't that bad. It started abysmally, with a return to a job I hated and after a few blissful days in Canterbury, a return to a flat that I was beginning to despise! I made a concious descision to not spend another Christmas there. However we thought about it, and planned to move this February.
Then all appeared to change when I was made redundant. Which was possibly the best thing that happened to me. It enabled me to get to know people better, search for a job that I actually enjoy, as well as giving me the money to start looking at moving.
Things ticked along nicely, then the stupid landlord decided not to renew our lease, and we had to finds a house. Coupled with the fact that
joda_vibe had just got a job that he really liked, in an industry he wanted to work in, things appeared to be happening.
And we moved, with fairly low stress levels, into our own house. No more landlords, no more letting agencies, no more deposits, heaven! And now we have all the wonderfulness of our own house!
Plus I met some truely wonderful people this year,
random_redhead,
miss_corinne and got to know several people better
stelmaria_clg,
baloobas,
fuzzygoth and not forgetting
ebbe and
thuriaz_art. In many ways, for me, this has been a year of accomplishments and whatever trials I have faced have been overcome. I look towards 2007 and my main aim this year is to drive.
However others have not had such a good year. There have been several deaths, in the past week or so especially, and my heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones. I hope that 2007 is a good year for all, bringing more smiles than tears, amazing experiences and FABULOUS shoes!
Hugs to all, you ROCK!
