I've come to the conclusion that watching 'Little Women' is quite cathartic for me. It makes me cry, a lot. I thought it was only the June Alyson, Janet Leigh version, but no, the Susan Sarandon version does it as well! The latter is actually a better adaptation of the book, and to that end means that whilst the 40's version will always be dear to my heart, the 90's version is fast becoming a classic.
Anyway, this is my ultimate weepy movie, my mother's is Now, Voyager (hence the title), so what's yours?
Went to
candi_topping's baby shower last night, eventually got there, despite Centro's best efforts! Met up with
audreygurrrll and
fuzzygoth. And
fuzzygoth is my hero! 3 townies ended up getting on the train behind us, and one of them started poking me through the gap in the chairs, and the lovely Fuzzy politely asked them to stop. 2 of them didn't take this well, until the third worked out that Fuzzy was from Glasgow, which ment we got an interesting rendition of 500 Miles, with the words 'Kurt Co-BANG' yelled out randomly!
So Hero of Friday is
fuzzygoth!
The baby shower was fun, even though
candi_topping and ,
miss_squiddy were a little late, and I had to leave to get my last bus shortly after they arrived! But was lovely to see everyone!
Today has been a total chilling day,
missscarlet21 cancelled the modelling as she is currently in loved-up land (am very happy for you chick), so I got to clean and hoover, so the house looks better!
And my boots arrived SQUEE! And they are totally fabulous and yummy! Everything I wanted and more, and very comfy.
Also received 2 imps from a swap, Dragon's Milk and Psyche - both very, very nice! I think I'm finally getting an idea of what I like in BPAL (65% of it so far!). I'm really pleased that the alcohol is kept to a minimum, means I can take it to America!

I assume that alcohol, industrial-strength backrubs and laughter is a given...
