Chinese New Year
Feb. 14th, 2005 02:38 amI've got the 'bang, bang, bang' of Fu lion dancing music running through my head today, as indeed it was yesterday! As usual the Chinese population of Brum outdid themselves with a magnificent celebration! We were in the prime location for the lion and dragon dance, and got to see the second Fu lion dance (including jumping onto platforms!)
The only downside was the amount of people, it gets bigger every year, and the crowds were huge! Although I did get to see 2 Kabuki-type actors, and valkyrie_n_1 got some beautiful caligraphy done.
Other than that, nothing much happened with our weekend. I tried to organise seeing my best mate in all the world, but the earliest we can do it is 26th March. Curses to busy lives!
See you all soon. I may be oot and aboot at the weekend, so may be able to catch up with some of you lovely ppl then!
