Havin' a rant! Snarkiness ahoy-hoy!
Dec. 16th, 2004 04:39 amThere have been a few little irritants recently, one of which was gonna pass without comment, but following the actions of someone last night, I've decided to vent!
I am very protective of all my friends, and love them dearly. I can get quite defensive about them, especially when I feel that they are being attacked. As some of you are aware FWX decided to challenge the wonderful tru_loo to a 'let's shoot evils' competition. This smacks of complete stupidity. Firstly it's really childish, secondly it's really, really f-ing stupid to challenge someone like Loo to a competition of this nature. You can only lose. Loo is 90% venom at the best of times, and when he despises someone on a cellular level, then you are just giving him an excuse! Thirdly, where did he get off thinking he could treat my close friend like that. Idiot! Maybe now he's had his fingers burned, he'll crwal back under his little rock again!
That was annoying, and amusing, Loo handled it all with aplomb, and was excellent. Huzzah for Loo!
The other irritant happened last night. We (Joda, Juxti and I), went to the UCE Rock Soc Xmas party. Stupidly we forgot it was Wednesday, but after all the bath hassle (now on it's way to being sorted) both Joda and I wanted a night out! Saw Chris and Twist, gave them both a hug, and went to sit down at what I termed the 'Pariah Table'.
We were then treated to an evening of 'Classic Attention Seeking', which meant I was infected with the spirit of ThreeTrees, and jumped up and down going 'Look at Me, Look at Me!'
The final straw was the apparent point-making/attempt to insult by person making a BIG thing of saying 'Juxti - HI!' etc. Was all relatively civil, and then it bimbled off, thinking it had made its point. Well, it was totally lost as Juxt didn't have a clue who it was, and his face when this info was supplied was priceless!
I'm just fed up of the f-ing playground politics of it all. And it reminded me how much I love hanging out with my friends, and meeting up with Joda's when certain elements aren't about.
Gah, sorry for the rambly venty snarkiness of all this, it's just irritating, and it puts a bad taste in the mouth. Although I would be intriged to see what would happen if it tried this behaviour with my brother!!!!!
Anyway in happier news, Aubrey has taken to waking us up in the morning. It's lovely to wake up with a cat purring its heart out, and looking at you adoringly. Puts everything into perspective!
