It is a very tired Jules that is updating today! Whilst I love my kitties to distraction, they can be bloody annoying at times. Last night Freya came in, no problems, had lots of fuss, helped Jodaboi on the puter and was generally lovely. Aubrey stayed out, and out and out! I like to get them in by about 11ish, cos then I like to go to bed! At 10pm, I'm out there, in my bright yellow Lush Beeline t-shirt and fleecy trews (ummm classy), calling, and shaking the biscuit tin (I think everybody knows the names of my girls!). And she's there, walking on the fence, so I make a grab for her, and miss, spectaculaly!
Aubrey runs onto next door's shed roof. Then that bloody tom cat comes out and she refuses to get within grabbing distance, so I am resorting to throwing biscuits at her. In the end, I lose patience and go back inside. So she's out for the night again, but no, at 1 in the morning, I wake up and open the back door, and up she trots. And because she's being dithery, I grab hold of her and pull her in, and get hissed at!
Then at 5.30 AM, she starts miaowing, loudly! And because I'm me (and I think most pet owners are the same), I wake up as soon as she starts. I'm also trained for the 'I'm gonna be sick' miaow too! This is an hour before I have to be up. Then at 5.40, in order to make ammends, she comes and lies on me and demands fuss and purrs.
So I'm knackered! And she demanded outside all morning, and then when I left she was draped over the spare monitor like a sulky teenager. I swear if she could have pouted, she would have!
I think it's just cos she's young, when I got her the Cats Protection said that she was 1, which would make her 4 this yr, about teenage for a cat, whereas Freya was supposed to be 3 when I got her (6 nxt week), but I think she's older, possibly closer to 8, and I'm having to come to the hard conclusion that I won't have her for as long as I thought. So I'll make both of their lives super good!
In other news, we are now the proud owners of a smoothie maker, and all my Xmas wrapping paper, cards and gift tags have arrived. And I'm visiting my wonderful mum on Sunday. That's about it for now, ta ta!
