Deck the halls......
Dec. 7th, 2004 11:23 amWoot, what a weekend that was!!! Finally started on my Xmas shopping, which is a huge relief, and am feeling a lot more positive about the whole thing.
Sat - went to London with my wonderful mother. Met loads of ppl that she works with (Beklet - she is also a non-faceless bureaucrat!), and had a really lovely time. Went into B Never, which was probably the most relaxing part of the entire shopping experience, battled our way through HMV Oxford Street, and tutted at the prices in Libertys (£75 for crackers!).
Got mum's, DD's and Rog's Xmas pressies. Rog's was a complete godsend as he is one of the hardest men to buy for, but I have a feeling he'll love the 35th Anniversary edition of Easy Rider.
We had a lovely lunch in an Angus steak house, mercifully child-free. I've realised as time goes on that the only kids I like are my 2 nephews and my neice. This is mainly due to some nightmarish brats that appear to have surfaced recently. I mean, who in the're right mind takes kids Xmas shopping - who!
Got home at about 9, and just chilled. Need to go out soon tho, cos I'm missing the dancing!
Sun - met up with the beautiful Dru-lady and had a damn fine giggle, and put the world to rights. Also got to say hello to the Boi!
And yesterday, I had a surprise bumping into the stunning Vix_da_vixen and darkapothsis (sp). Big hugs to the both of you.
Also am putting up the Xmas decks at home on Sat, mainly cos I feel that they shouldn't go up until 2 weeks before Xmas at the earliest. Anyone wanna pop over and join in the festivities? You can ogle the horror of some of the 'light displays' on our road!
Finally :- COME TO STIGMARTYR! Gwan, gwan, gwan, gwan......
